UNILORIN BIGI Music Contest Awards ₦1m to Three Emerging Campus Performers

Three emerging musicians at the University of Ilorin have shared ₦1 million in prize money after competing in the Bigi Music Competition, which provided a platform for students to showcase their talents during the Soundcity OnTour programme.

Abdulrazak Saubana, popularly known as Savahdor, won the competition and received ₦500,000.

Mohammed Abdulrasheed Ayomidimeji, known as Bamz, emerged first runner-up with ₦350,000, while Adenekan Victoria, who performs as Rhieyha, came third and received ₦150,000.

The competition was held during the three-day Soundcity OnTour at the university from October 26 to 28, 2026, as part of activities combining live entertainment with opportunities for young performers to gain exposure.

Powered by Bigi and Fearless Energy Drink, the tour is visiting universities across Nigeria to engage students through music and entertainment while providing emerging talents with opportunities to showcase their abilities.

Bigi Brand Manager, Biola Aransiola, said the initiative was designed to connect with young Nigerians through their interests and create platforms for emerging performers to be heard.

The tour moves to Kwara State University (KWASU) from October 29 to 31, where more students will have the opportunity to participate in the campus entertainment experience and music competition.
