GTCO Fashion Weekend Returns with 140 Retailers, African Designers and Year-Round Industry Support

Fashion entrepreneurs, designers and retailers will have access to new business opportunities, industry connections and consumer markets as Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc, GTCO stages the ninth edition of its Fashion Weekend on November 7 and 8, 2026, in Lagos.

The event, themed “Fashion Is Timeless”, will feature about 140 retail stores, runway shows, masterclasses and a dedicated Streetwear Hub, with free entry for visitors.

It will hold daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the GTCentre, Plot 1, Water Corporation Drive, Oniru, Lagos.

A major feature of this year’s edition is the GTCO Fashion Collective, a year-round platform designed to connect designers, models, stylists, photographers, editors, buyers, content creators and other players in the fashion industry beyond the annual event.

GTCO Group Chief Executive Officer, Segun Agbaje, said the initiative would sustain opportunities for collaboration, knowledge-sharing and business development across Africa’s fashion ecosystem.

He said the Fashion Weekend had evolved over nine years into a platform for discovering talent, sharing industry knowledge and connecting fashion businesses with new markets.

Agbaje added that the Fashion Collective would provide greater visibility and opportunities for entrepreneurs to showcase their work, reach customers and build sustainable businesses.

The runway programme will feature designers from Africa and beyond. Day one will showcase Tongoro, FIA Factory, Ibrahim Fernandez, Washington Roberts, Maison Sara Chraibi and Imane Ayissi, while day two will feature Sukeina, House of Marvee, Selam Fessahaye, Kim Shui, Ohlanna Bu Zikora and LaQuan Smith.

The masterclasses will feature fashion entrepreneur, model and digital creator Sherlina Nym, Rachel Ojuromi and Renee Morris, founder of natural hair brand Uncle Funky’s Daughter. Buttah Skin will also lead a skincare masterclass.

Visitors will also have access to 140 curated retail stores offering fashion items, alongside the Streetwear Hub showcasing contemporary styles and emerging trends.

GTCO Chief Communication Officer, Oyinade Adegbite, said the event would continue to support designers and small businesses by providing opportunities to showcase their brands, attract customers and increase market visibility.

She encouraged visitors to take advantage of the event for Christmas shopping, noting that participating retailers would offer discounts.

Since its inception, GTCO Fashion Weekend has brought together designers, retailers, creatives, entrepreneurs and fashion enthusiasts, using fashion as a platform for enterprise development and the promotion of African creativity.
