Ogunsan, Lakanu, Odumosu Named in 36 Member Lagos APC Security Directorate

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC has constituted a 36 member Security and Intelligence Directorate for its Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.

The directorate includes the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, Dr Ayodele Ogunsan, retired Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG Taiwo Lakanu, General Olumuyiwa Okunowo and retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Hakeem Odumosu.

The composition brings together retired senior security officers, professionals, community stakeholders and other members expected to contribute to security coordination, intelligence and stakeholder engagement during the electioneering period.

The directorate is expected to support the campaign council’s security related activities and contribute to efforts aimed at maintaining public peace and safety during political activities surrounding the candidacy of Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat.

Other members named are Dr Rasaq Balogun, retired Colonel Dele Oyefuga, Comrade Sola Omojuwa Omosebi, Mr Sheriff Muhammed, Mr Liasu Rasaq, FCA, and Honourable Wasiu Ogunlana.

Also listed are Mr Sefiu Bello, Mr Bolaji Idris Ariyo, Mr Tunde Oyedeji, Mr Fashesan, DCP, Mr Kenny Motajo, Ms Adesanya Tolulope Saheed, Ms Adedoyin Rojaiye and Mr Sule Yusuf.

The list further includes Alhaji Gafar Owolabi, Mrs Bamgbose Damilola Ajaja, Mr Abdulrasaq Adewole, Mr Opeyemi Ogunsakin, Mr Yomi Jones, Mr Niyi Olofin and Ms Gbemisola Olusegun Kebku.

Other members are Mr Wuzu Shakiru, Honourable Issa Folami, Comrade Rasaq Olokuoba, ACP Segun M. Odunlami, ACP Leke Smith and Prince Ifalade Oyekan.

Completing the 36 member directorate are Ms Ireti Ayomide Adewole, Mr Ayo Adesanya, Mr Adeyinka Isiaka, Mr Adekunle Muritala and Chief Dayo Ariyo.

The constitution of the directorate forms part of the APC’s preparations for the 2027 electoral cycle in Lagos State. The party’s wider campaign structure is scheduled for formal inauguration on Friday, September 18, 2026.
