Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, held a strategic meeting on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at her office in Alausa with the CEO and team of Empire Publishing and Distribution, USA, led by Mr. Ghazi Shami.
The discussion focused on fostering collaboration and support for Nigeria’s burgeoning creative industry.
Key areas addressed during the meeting included capacity building within the country, talent sourcing, production, distribution, and management. A significant highlight was the potential establishment of a cultural exchange programme between Nigeria and the United States, with emphasis on music and music education.
