Engr. (Dr) Wuraola Atinuke Owolabi FNSE, South-West Representative (Commissioner) at the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), has congratulated Hon. Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat and Hon. (Mrs) Oluwatoyin Awoniyi-Akerele on their re-election as Executive Chairman and Executive Vice Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area Council.
This follows the just concluded local government elections in which the All Progressives Congress (APC) secured a landslide victory, polling a total of 20,285 votes across all wards. In the chairmanship contest,
Engr. Owolabi who delivered her own Polling Unit (PU 12, Ward E), described their victory as a clear reflection of public trust and a resounding endorsement of the APC’s leadership across Ifako-Ijaiye and Lagos State at large.
“Mr. Chairman, your re-election is a testament to the trust the good people of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government reposed in your administration,” she said. “I wish to equally use this opportunity to call for more projects, empowerment programmes, and appointments for the good people of Ward E, who delivered the highest number of votes in this election.”
She concluded by praying for continued progress and success in the new tenure of the elected officials.
