The BAT-IG movement recorded a major milestone in Ibadan with the successful hosting of a women-focused programme and the inauguration of BAT-IG structures across local government areas in Oyo State.
The event, themed “Women Inclusion in Governance,” attracted an impressive turnout of women during the Valentine’s Day workshop, underscoring growing interest in political participation and grassroots engagement.
As part of the expansion drive, BAT-IG inaugurated coordinators in each Local Government Area and established links with a youth group of over 4,500 members who have indicated interest in joining the movement.
Plans are underway for the formal inauguration of the youth bloc, with a request extended to the Convenor, Bamidele Atoyebi, to schedule a visit for the ceremony.

Dr Bisi Akin-Alabi , the BAT-IG Women Leader for Oyo State, played a key role in mobilizing women for the programme, emphasizing the importance of inclusion, leadership development, and active participation in governance.
The Ibadan gathering marks another step in strengthening BAT-IG’s grassroots presence while promoting women and youth involvement in governance and civic engagement across the state.
