Tegbe Foundation has empowered 60 small businesses and social enterprises across Oyo State with grants ranging from ₦100,000 to ₦500,000 under its #JTstrikesDiamond Empowerment Initiative.
The beneficiaries, the majority of whom are youth-led enterprises, received the financial support at a presentation ceremony held as part of activities marking International Youth Day.
The initiative was conceived to commemorate the 60th birthday of the Founder of Tegbe Foundation, Mogaji Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe, and reflects the Foundation’s commitment to youth development, entrepreneurship and community empowerment.
Speaking at the closing ceremony in Ibadan, the Executive Director of Tegbe Foundation, Femi Adeleke, said the initiative was designed to provide practical support to young entrepreneurs and strengthen their contribution to the economy.
“This is more than support, it’s an investment in youth development, entrepreneurship, and a stronger economic future,” Adeleke said.
The closing ceremony attracted government representatives, community leaders and other stakeholders, including Oloye Denrele Lekan-Salami (Ajia Balogun Olubadan), Engr. Bode Johnson, Hon. Hafiz Oladejo, Special Adviser to the Honourable Minister on Stakeholder Engagement, Asiwaju Tayo Alabi, Chief Mrs Funmilayo Arulogun, Hon. Inaolaji Akinloye and Hon. Raji Draj Ademola.
Several of the guests delivered goodwill messages, expressing support for the Foundation’s efforts in youth and enterprise development.
The Foundation said the initiative achieved its objective of providing direct financial support to 60 beneficiaries across Oyo State, particularly youth-led enterprises.
