Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has extended a hand of fellowship to the 15 candidates who contested against him in the just concluded Anambra State governorship election, reaffirming his commitment to unity, inclusiveness, and continued progress across the state.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had officially declared Professor Soludo the winner of the election, marking a historic re-election and the third time a governor has been returned for a second term in Anambra’s political history.
In his first public address delivered in his hometown of Isuofia, Governor Soludo through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, described the victory as a collective achievement of the Anambra people.
“This victory is a collective achievement that reflects the aspirations of our citizens. I am profoundly grateful for the support received from every corner of Anambra State,” Soludo said.
The Governor noted that his administration received support from 98 percent of the state’s wards, expressing optimism about the future.
“You have not seen anything yet. With this trust, in partnership with ndị Anambra, we will do more,” he stated.
Looking ahead to his next four years in office, Soludo assured residents that his government is already preparing to “turn on gear four” from March 2026, pledging more impactful governance and deeper reforms.
He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for ensuring a credible election process and praised INEC for its transparency and improvements in electoral conduct, saying the process was “free, fair, and transparent.”
“The people spoke very loudly,” he remarked. “APGA remains magnanimous in victory, and I extend a hand of fellowship to my brothers and sisters who contested this election. Together, we can move Anambra forward.”
Governor Soludo also lauded the security agencies for their professional conduct and commitment to peace during the polls.
Reaffirming his administration’s focus, the Governor pledged to continue addressing key developmental challenges in the state, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, security, and economic empowerment.
“The journey begins now, and I am dedicated to ensuring that every resident of Anambra feels the positive impact of our governance,” he assured.
As celebrations filled the streets across Anambra, Soludo’s conciliatory tone was widely seen as a signal of political maturity and a crucial step toward uniting stakeholders for the state’s collective advancement.
