Pernod Ricard Nigeria, French Consulate Celebrate Bastille Day with Style, Conviviality

In a vibrant celebration of France’s National Day, Pernod Ricard Nigeria has partnered with the French Consulate to mark Bastille Day with a series of elegant events held in Lagos and Abuja, highlighting cultural pride, heritage, and the spirit of conviviality.

The events, hosted at the Lycée Français Louis Pasteur in Lagos and the French Ambassador’s Residence in Abuja, brought together diplomats, corporate partners, and members of the Franco-Nigerian community. The gatherings showcased French tradition, culinary excellence, and the strong bilateral relationship between Nigeria and France.

Pernod Ricard Nigeria, a French-rooted global leader in wines and spirits, added its signature touch to the celebrations with a refined Martell cocktail bar experience. Guests were treated to a curated menu of premium cocktails, reflecting the elegance and festive spirit of the occasion.

Speaking during the event, French Consul General Monsieur Laurent Favieur emphasized the importance of shared values such as liberty, equality, and fraternity. He also commended the continued collaboration between France and Nigeria, particularly in diplomacy, education, and culture.

This year’s celebration coincided with the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings—an historic milestone that underscores themes of unity and freedom.

Beyond the festivities, the collaboration underscored Pernod Ricard Nigeria’s commitment to cultural exchange and responsible enjoyment. Anchored by its sustainability framework—comprising Nurturing Terroir, Valuing People, Circular Making, and Responsible Hosting—the company reaffirmed its dedication to creating positive impact in communities it serves.

Pernod Ricard Nigeria continues to leverage such cultural partnerships to deepen engagement and promote shared values, while celebrating the richness of both French and Nigerian heritage.
