Ogun State Police Command has filed cyberbullying charges against an internet blogger, Adetoun Onajobi, popularly known on social media as @justadetoun.

The Police say the six-count charge, bordering on cyberstalking, false information and obstruction of justice, has been filed before the Abeokuta Division of the Federal High Court under the Cybercrimes Act.

According to the Command, Onajobi allegedly used social media and other internet-enabled platforms to publish false accusations against the Ogun State Government and to bully the Governor of the State.

Police spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, explained that the blogger was invited for questioning on January 2, 2026, to respond to the allegations but failed to honour the invitation.

Instead, her lawyer reportedly wrote to the Police, claiming she was medically indisposed, attaching a medical report said to have been issued by a doctor.

However, discreet investigations by the Police allegedly revealed that the medical report was false. The doctor involved was arrested and later admitted that the document was fabricated at the instruction of Adetoun Onajobi during a phone conversation facilitated by her lawyer.

The doctor has since been arraigned before an Ogun State Magistrates’ Court on charges of conspiracy, uttering a false document and obstruction of justice.

The Police further disclosed that Onajobi has remained evasive and has continued to rebuff police invitations, with her current whereabouts unknown.

DSP Babaseyi said the Command remains committed to tackling all forms of crime, including digital offences, while respecting citizens’ constitutional rights. He added that freedom of speech does not confer immunity from criminal conduct.

The Command also noted that it is trailing other suspects connected to the alleged false information and has vowed to exhaust all lawful means to apprehend Adetoun Onajobi and produce her before the court to answer the charges already filed.
