The Executive Secretary and CEO of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, LSSTF, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, has praised the leadership, welfare initiatives, and reform agenda of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu.
Speaking at during a courtesy visit to the Force Headquarters in Abuja, Dr. Ogunsan described IGP Disu’s appointment as a defining moment for policing in Nigeria, noting that “the name Disu is synonymous with excellence, discipline, and high standards in policing.”
He said the IGP’s leadership brings years of sterling service and commendable personal qualities to national security management.
Ogunsan particularly commended Disu’s people-focused approach, highlighting the recent disbursement of NGN 2.4 billion in cheques to families of fallen officers as a significant boost to morale within the Force.
He also praised the prompt promotion of 84 senior officers, including 13 new Assistant Inspectors-General and 17 Commissioners of Police, describing the reforms as bold, forward-looking, and essential for professionalism, accountability, and public trust.
Reaffirming LSSTF’s commitment to supporting modern policing infrastructure and community-based security initiatives, Ogunsan pledged continued partnership with the Nigeria Police Force.
In response, IGP Disu expressed appreciation for the visit and Lagos State’s consistent support, reiterating his commitment to prioritizing personnel welfare, deepening institutional reforms, strengthening discipline, and enhancing safety and security across Nigeria.
