The Nigeria Customs Service, Kaduna Area Command, has inaugurated the SG Hassan Fitness Hub following an inter-agency sporting event aimed at promoting physical fitness, teamwork and collaboration among security agencies operating in Kaduna State.
The fitness facility was officially unveiled on Thursday, July 23, 2026, immediately after the Inter-Agency Games held at the Command, which featured football, basketball, volleyball and badminton competitions.
Participating agencies included the Nigeria Police Force, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Immigration Service.
The games provided a platform for officers and personnel from the various agencies to strengthen camaraderie, encourage healthy competition and deepen cooperation in the discharge of their security responsibilities.
Speaking during the commissioning, the Area Controller of the Kaduna Area Command, Comptroller Sa’ad Hassan, said the SG Hassan Fitness Hub was established to promote regular exercise, recreation and healthy living among officers of the Command and personnel of other security agencies.
He noted that the facility would help sustain the gains of the inter-agency sporting engagements by providing a dedicated space for fitness training and other wellness activities, stressing that physical fitness remains essential to operational readiness, discipline, work-life balance and overall wellbeing.
Representatives of the Nigeria Police Force, NDLEA, the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Immigration Service commended the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that would further strengthen trust, mutual respect and collaboration among security agencies.
The event concluded with participants expressing appreciation for the opportunity to combine sports, fellowship and the commissioning of a facility designed to promote fitness, community engagement and corporate social responsibility.
