JMG Limited, one of Nigeria’s leading integrated electromechanical solutions providers, is celebrating its 28th anniversary, marking nearly three decades of growth from a generator supplier into a diversified engineering and infrastructure company serving key sectors of the economy.
Founded in June 1998 with a focus on power generation solutions, the company has evolved into a major player in electrical infrastructure, cooling systems, elevators and escalators, compressed air solutions and renewable energy technologies.
Speaking on the milestone, Chief Commercial Officer of JMG, Rabi Jammal, described the anniversary as a reflection of the company’s resilience, innovation and commitment to meeting the changing needs of businesses and industries across Nigeria.
According to him, JMG’s transformation over the years has positioned it as a comprehensive provider of electromechanical solutions that support operational efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness for its clients.
“Twenty-eight years ago, JMG was founded with a mission to provide dependable power solutions. Today, we have grown into a comprehensive electromechanical solutions provider, delivering technologies that help businesses operate efficiently, sustainably and competitively. As we look ahead, we remain committed to advancing innovation and supporting Nigeria’s industrial and economic development,” Jammal said.
A significant aspect of the company’s recent growth has been its investment in renewable and sustainable energy projects. Among its latest projects are solar hybrid power installations at three NIPCO fuel stations located in Gwagwalada, Lekki and Mpape.
The systems combine solar panels, lithium battery storage and smart inverter technology to provide uninterrupted electricity while eliminating reliance on diesel-powered generators. According to the company, the installations are expected to generate substantial energy cost savings and contribute to cleaner energy adoption.
JMG has also played a role in strengthening healthcare infrastructure through the delivery of electrical power systems for the African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE) in Abuja. The facility, regarded as one of Africa’s most advanced healthcare institutions, relies on the infrastructure to support critical medical equipment and essential hospital operations.
In Lagos, the company recently completed the installation of advanced elevators and escalators at the J.K. Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History, improving accessibility for visitors, particularly the elderly and physically challenged.
Beyond its engineering projects, JMG said it remains committed to community development through healthcare and social intervention programmes.
The company highlighted its support for Primary Healthcare Centres in Ketu and Bariga, aimed at improving access to healthcare services, as well as outreach initiatives targeted at orphanage homes through the provision of essential supplies and support for vulnerable children.
As it enters its 29th year of operations, JMG said it will continue to focus on sustainable energy development, infrastructure expansion, technical capacity building and innovative engineering solutions that contribute to Nigeria’s industrial growth and economic development.
