Leading indigenous Itsekiri businesses, including Overland Airways, VouchLinks, REYON Water and Agile Cycle, have thrown their weight behind the Itsekiri Global Homecoming 2026, supporting a week-long celebration of heritage, culture, enterprise and community.
The Itsekiri Global Homecoming, scheduled for August 16 to 23, 2026, is being held under the authority of His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri, and under the auspices of The Royal Order of Iwere, ROI, as part of activities marking the monarch’s fifth coronation anniversary.
The indigenous brands are contributing their platforms, expertise and resources to support the event, which is expected to bring together Itsekiri sons and daughters, friends and allies from across Nigeria and the global diaspora.
Overland Airways is supporting the movement of guests travelling into the region, while VouchLinks is contributing its digital platform and peer-to-peer recommendation services to enhance the Homecoming experience. REYON Water is serving as the Hydration Partner, providing support across the various events.
Agile Cycle, an indigenous electric mobility venture, is the Official Mobility Partner of the Homecoming and will support transportation during the week, including the planned Scooter Ride with His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III.
The partnership reflects Agile Cycle’s focus on smart and sustainable mobility and its drive to provide accessible and innovative transportation solutions.
The growing indigenous support is complemented by other brands and organisations, including MAGGI® (Nestlé Nigeria), Sterling Bank, Seaman’s Schnapps, Loatsad Promomedia, Enugu Air and ORÍKÌ.
Speaking on the support, Ade Mabo, a member of The Royal Order of Iwere and the IGHC organising committee, expressed appreciation to the businesses and organisations backing the initiative.
“It is deeply encouraging to see indigenous Itsekiri brands and organisations nationwide recognise the significance of the Itsekiri Global Homecoming and choose to support it,” Mabo said.
He said the participation of the businesses demonstrated the strength of the Itsekiri entrepreneurial community and its shared commitment to celebrating heritage while creating opportunities for the people and the Warri Kingdom.
The Itsekiri Global Homecoming will feature royal pageantry, cultural showcases, culinary experiences, business and development conversations, heritage tours, entertainment and the Royal Warri River Regatta, before culminating in celebrations marking the fifth coronation anniversary of the Olu of Warri.
