Tolaram Backs ARCON Awards, Says Recognition Will Drive Industry Excellence

Tolaram Group has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote creativity, professionalism, integrity and excellence in Nigeria’s advertising and marketing communications industry.

The Group Media Manager of Tolaram, Adeola Amosun, stated this while explaining the company’s decision to partner the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) 2026 Special Recognition Awards as a Platinum Sponsor.

Amosun said Tolaram considered the awards a significant initiative because of their focus on recognising contributions to the development of the advertising industry.

He said the company had consistently supported initiatives aimed at strengthening the sector, citing its partnership with the National Advertising Conference in recent years.

According to him, Tolaram remains interested in supporting programmes that create value for the industry, its partners and brands.

“We are always constantly looking for ways to drive or support initiatives that promote the industry, our partners and our brands,” he said.

Amosun also commended ARCON for its efforts to strengthen regulation and professionalism within Nigeria’s advertising ecosystem, describing effective regulation as critical to the development of a healthy and competitive industry.

He said Tolaram’s partnership with the awards was therefore intended as a show of support for the regulator and its efforts to advance standards across the sector.

Speaking on the company’s expectations for the awards, Amusun said Tolaram looked forward to seeing individuals and organisations that had made significant contributions to the industry receive recognition.

He noted that recognition could serve as an important form of encouragement, particularly for professionals who consistently deliver valuable work without necessarily receiving public acknowledgement.

According to him, the significance of the awards goes beyond the prizes, as recognition itself can motivate practitioners to sustain excellence and inspire others to contribute to the growth of the industry.

“The mere fact that you’re doing stuff in your little corner and you’re being recognised, I think it’s an applause in itself,” he said.

Amosun said Tolaram was particularly pleased to support a platform that would bring attention to industry leaders and organisations whose work had helped shape Nigeria’s advertising and marketing communications landscape.

ARCON recently expanded the 2026 Special Recognition Awards beyond advertising compliance to include public sector, private sector and individual recognition categories.

The awards are expected to recognise outstanding contributions to advertising compliance, public communication, consumer engagement, innovation, corporate social responsibility, industry leadership and professional development.
