The Ọmọ ÈKOH Movement has called on eligible residents of Lagos State to participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
In a statement issued by the Deputy Director-General of the movement, Babatunde Ige, on behalf of the group’s convener, Alhaji Imran Hamzat, the movement said the voter registration exercise presents an important opportunity for residents to strengthen democratic participation and contribute to the emergence of credible leadership.
According to the statement, the third and final phase of the CVR exercise commenced on May 11, 2026, and will end on July 10, 2026.
The movement noted that the exercise is open to all Nigerian citizens aged 18 years and above who have not previously registered as voters.
It added that the exercise also provides opportunities for voters to transfer their registration, correct personal information, and replace lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
The Ọmọ ÈKOH Movement urged interested applicants to visit INEC offices in their respective Local Government Areas to complete the registration process.
The group encouraged eligible residents to register early in order to avoid the last-minute rush and congestion that often characterise voter registration exercises.
It stressed that the Permanent Voter Card remains the most important instrument through which citizens can actively participate in the democratic process and influence governance through the ballot.
The movement further appealed to residents to mobilise their family members, friends, neighbours and associates who are eligible but yet to register.
“Together, let us strengthen democracy, promote good governance, and secure a brighter future for Lagos State and Nigeria,” the statement said.
The group reaffirmed its commitment to promoting civic participation and encouraging greater involvement of residents in the democratic process ahead of future elections.
