Tomi Davies, Victor Afolabi to Unveil Africa’s First Ad-Agency GPT at MarkHack 5.0

Africa’s first generative artificial intelligence platform designed specifically for marketing and advertising agencies will be unveiled at the fifth edition of MarkHack, Nigeria’s leading marketing, media and technology conference.

The platform, known as Ad-Agency GPT, will be formally introduced by Tomi Davies, Collaborator-in-Chief at TVC Labs, and Victor Gbenga Afolabi, Group Chief Executive Officer of GDM Group, during the conference scheduled to hold on June 5, 2026, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Organisers described Ad-Agency GPT as a major milestone in Africa’s marketing and advertising industry, noting that the platform was developed to support the entire agency workflow, from client brief interpretation and campaign planning to content generation, strategic development and campaign validation.

According to the developers, the AI-powered platform incorporates African consumer insights, regional language variations, cultural nuances and market-specific behavioural patterns, enabling agencies to create content and strategies that are tailored to local audiences.

The unveiling forms part of activities lined up for MarkHack 5.0, themed “The Culture Algorithm: AI × Human Experience.” The conference is expected to bring together industry leaders, policymakers, technology experts and creative professionals to examine the growing influence of artificial intelligence on culture, business and consumer engagement.

Participants will also witness live demonstrations of the platform’s capabilities, including campaign ideation, multi-format content creation and culturally adaptive strategy development. Organisers said the demonstrations will provide agencies with practical insights into how AI can be leveraged to improve efficiency, enhance creativity and deliver more impactful campaigns across African markets.

Speaking on the significance of the innovation, the organisers noted that Ad-Agency GPT represents a shift from viewing artificial intelligence merely as a tool to recognising it as critical infrastructure for modern marketing operations.

The platform will launch with an open-access model to encourage widespread adoption across the marketing ecosystem. A premium version featuring advanced functionalities such as collaborative workspaces, expanded output capabilities and access to proprietary campaign frameworks developed by GDM Group is expected to be introduced subsequently.

Industry stakeholders believe the launch could accelerate the adoption of AI-driven solutions within Africa’s advertising and marketing landscape while helping agencies improve competitiveness, preserve institutional knowledge and scale operations more effectively.

The unveiling of Ad-Agency GPT is also expected to reinforce MarkHack’s position as a platform for innovation and industry transformation, while highlighting GDM Group’s efforts to advance AI-powered marketing solutions across the continent.
