President Tinubu, IGP Disu Celebrate Ogunsan at 50, Commend Security Contributions

President Bola Tinubu and Inspector General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu have commended the contributions of the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, LSSTF, Dr Ayodele Ogunsan, to security and public safety as he marks his 50th birthday.

In a congratulatory message issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu acknowledged Ogunsan’s efforts in institution building and fostering partnerships among government, the private sector and other stakeholders to strengthen security and development.

The President also commended Ogunsan’s service to Lagos State and his contributions to strengthening the state’s security architecture through the LSSTF.

Tinubu noted that Ogunsan had previously served on the LSSTF Board of Trustees and held other responsibilities in the security and community safety space, including Chairman of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) in Lagos State and Patron of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC).

He said the LSSTF under Ogunsan had continued to support security agencies with equipment, infrastructure and other resources to enhance their capacity to protect lives and property.

“As you mark this significant milestone, I urge you to sustain your dedication to the security and progress of Lagos State and Nigeria,” Tinubu said, wishing Ogunsan continued good health, wisdom and fulfilment in his service to the country.

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, also celebrated Ogunsan, describing him as a dependable partner whose approach to leadership and public safety had contributed to the security architecture of Lagos State.

Disu described Ogunsan’s leadership style as “360-degree leadership”, saying it encouraged participation, allowed different views to be heard and made people working with him feel carried along.

The IGP also commended Ogunsan for his disposition towards the welfare and dignity of people working around him, describing him as accessible and respectful in his engagements.

Disu wished Ogunsan continued progress and prayed for his good health and guidance as he enters a new decade of his life.
