Ogun Police Restore Traffic on Abeokuta Expressway After Disruption

The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed that normal traffic flow has been fully restored along the Abeokuta Expressway at the Bara area near Sagamu Interchange, following an earlier disruption.

The Command said the incident was caused by an altercation between community members and trailer drivers, which resulted in a temporary blockage of the road.

According to police authorities, the Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, FCSS, MNIPR directed the Area Commander, Owode Egba, alongside Divisional Police Officers within the axis, to immediately intervene and ensure the clearance of the road.

Traffic has since been restored, with normalcy returning to the affected area, while investigations are ongoing to determine the immediate cause of the clash and prevent a recurrence.

The Command reassured the public of its continued commitment to maintaining safety, law and order, and ensuring the free flow of traffic across the state.
