Ogun State Police Command has recovered a silver-coloured Toyota RAV4 Jeep and reunited it with its rightful owner.
The vehicle was recovered on 17th January, 2026 at the Somorin Area of Obantoko by the Surveillance Team of Obantoko Division during a routine patrol. The vehicle, suspected to have been stolen and abandoned, was immediately secured at the station while efforts were intensified to trace the owner.
Following proper verification of ownership documents, the lawful owner was identified, and the vehicle, alongside its keys and relevant documents, was formally handed over.
Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, Lanre Ogunlowo has commended the Divisional Police Officer and officers of the Obantoko Division Surveillance Team for their professionalism, vigilance, and swift response.
Ogunlowo urged officers across the command to sustain proactive policing and community partnership in the protection of lives and property.
