Residents of Ogun State have been invited to partake in the activities lined up by the State Police Command, Eleweran in commemoration of the Inaugural National Police Day.
The National Police Day slated for 7th April 2025 in line with the declaration by IGP Kayode Egbetokun, Ph.D, following the presidential directive to establish an annual National Police Day is recognition of the invaluable contributions and commitment of men and officers of the Nigeria Police Force to nation building.
In a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer Ogun State Command, CSP Omolola Odutola anipr,
says the Command will seize the opportunity to strengthen collaborations with communities to engender public trust through Police Public Engagement.
CPS Odutola highlights the activities scheduled for the National Police Day as follow:
Wednesday, 2nd April 2025.
- Flag off of the re- construction of POWA Acquisition Centre at Command Hq., Eleweran.
Thursday, 3rd April, 2025. - Town Hall meeting with critical stakeholders on challenges and collective solutions to security challenges.
Friday, 4th April, 2025.
*Community Engagement: Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers will interface with the public on the importance of National Police Day.
Saturday, 5th April, 2025.
* Free medical services: free medical services will be available to community members to enhance public health.
*Sanitisation and cleanup of public spaces.
