Ogun Police Arrest Man Over Two Murders, Three Attempted Killings

The Ogun State Police Command has clarified its handling of an alleged incident reported in the Ogijo area of the state, confirming that the victim was not arrested at any time.

In a statement, the Command explained that the victim initially reported at the Ibafo Police Division on Wednesday, informing officers that the alleged incident occurred in Ogijo.

She was promptly taken for medical assessment before being transferred to the Ogijo Division, which has jurisdiction over the area where the incident reportedly took place.

According to the Police, upon arrival at Ogijo Division, it was confirmed that the victim was not in a stable condition to provide further details about the incident. She was immediately taken for a comprehensive medical check-up, and her health is currently being closely monitored.

The Command emphasised that the wellbeing of the victim remains a top priority and stressed that at no point was she placed under arrest.

The Police further urged members of the public to verify information through official channels before circulating reports, assuring that the matter is being handled professionally.
