The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Lagos State Command, has intensified efforts to improve the health and wellbeing of its personnel through a strategic partnership with Superlife Nigeria aimed at promoting health awareness, preventive care and wellness among officers and men of the Corps.
The initiative follows the formal partnership established between Superlife Nigeria and the Lagos State Command of the NSCDC on May 7, 2026, to support healthy living and encourage regular health monitoring among personnel.
As part of efforts to deepen the collaboration, the Senior Medical Consultant of Superlife Nigeria, Dr. Egbe Rove-Steiner, alongside the Country Director of the organisation, Ambassador Kingsley Nnamani, paid a visit to the Lagos State Commandant of the NSCDC, Adedotun Sunday Keshinro, to discuss strategies for enhancing the health and productivity of officers across the command.
During the engagement, Commandant Keshinro reiterated his directive to Area Commanders and Divisional Officers to place greater emphasis on the health of personnel under their supervision, stressing that a healthy workforce is essential for effective service delivery and operational efficiency.
According to him, regular medical check-ups and increased attention to personnel welfare would help in the early detection and treatment of health challenges, thereby ensuring officers remain physically fit to handle the demands of their responsibilities.
He noted that prioritising health and wellness would not only improve productivity but also strengthen the overall capacity of the command to discharge its duties effectively.
Following the visit, Superlife Nigeria officials delivered a health lecture to Area Commanders and Divisional Officers at the Command Headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja. The session focused on preventive healthcare, healthy living practices and the importance of routine medical assessments.
The programme forms part of ongoing efforts by the Lagos NSCDC Command to improve personnel welfare and create a healthier workforce capable of meeting the security and emergency response needs of residents across the state.
The Command expressed optimism that the partnership would contribute significantly to enhancing the wellbeing, morale and performance of its officers and men.
