LSSTF Donates Operational Vehicles to Nigerian Correctional Service

In a move to strengthen security and boost the operational efficiency of the Nigerian Correctional Service, NCoS, the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, LSSTF has donated new operational vehicles to the Lagos State Command of the service.

The formal handover ceremony took place in Lagos with the Administrative Director of LSSTF, Mr. Adegbola Lewis, presenting the vehicles to the Controller of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Lagos State Command, Mr. Daramola George.

The donation underscores the Lagos State Government’s continued commitment to supporting security agencies across the state through the LSSTF, a public-private partnership established to provide critical logistics, infrastructure, and equipment to security operatives.

Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Lewis reaffirmed LSSTF’s mandate to ensure that security agencies are well-equipped to carry out their duties effectively.

He noted that the vehicles would enhance mobility and response time for correctional officers, particularly in escort operations and inmate management.

Controller Daramola George expressed appreciation on behalf of the Nigerian Correctional Service, stating that the support comes at a critical time when logistics and mobility are essential to the agency’s reform and rehabilitation agenda.

“This generous intervention will go a long way in improving our operational capacity and ensuring safer correctional procedures across Lagos State,” he said.
