The Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, LSSTF, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, has extended Christmas greetings to Lagosians and Nigerians, urging residents to embrace peace, unity, and shared responsibility while remaining vigilant during the festive season.

In a Christmas goodwill message in Lagos, Dr. Ogunsan described the season as a period of reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to building a safer society.

He stressed that security is a collective responsibility and called on residents to stay alert as festivities peak across the state. Dr. Ogunsan urged Lagosians to promptly report suspicious activities, cooperate with law enforcement agencies, and observe traffic safety rules to reduce road accidents during the holiday period.

The LSSTF boss expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Government under Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for its support, as well as to the Fund’s strategic partners, corporate organisations, retail donors, and individual contributors for their consistent backing throughout 2025.

According to him, the support has translated into improved logistics, mobility, and operational capacity for security agencies across the state.

Dr. Ogunsan also commended the dedication and professionalism of security personnel, including officers of the Nigeria Police, Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Nigerian Armed Forces, paramilitary agencies, NDLEA, FRSC, LASTMA, LSNA, and other local security outfits in Lagos.

He noted that while many citizens celebrate the season with their families, security operatives remain on duty to safeguard lives and property.

Reaffirming the mandate of the LSSTF, Dr. Ogunsan assured residents that the Fund will continue to mobilise resources, strengthen partnerships, and support innovative security solutions in line with the vision of the Lagos State Government. He also called for sustained support from individuals, groups, and organisations to further enhance security across the state.

Dr. Ogunsan concluded by wishing Lagosians a peaceful Christmas and a prosperous New Year, expressing optimism that continued collaboration between government, the private sector, and citizens will lead to improved security outcomes in the year ahead.
