The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, has been appointed as a member of the Governing Board of the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board, JUPEB.

This appointment is for a one year period (1st January to 31st December 2025).

Prof. Olatunji-Bello’s appointment was conveyed via a letter dated 13th January 2025 signed by the Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of JUPEB, Professor Ademola Adeleke, MNAL.

The JUPEB Governing Board is the highest decision making body of the Board made up of Vice-Chancellors of JUPEB partner universities, JAMB Registrar, a representative of the Minister of Education, a representative of the West African Examination Council, WAEC, and the Registrar/CEO of JUPEB.

Two affiliate universities are also appointed to represent all the Affiliates of JUPEB at Governing Board meetings on a one-year rotational basis.

In line with these regulations, the 40th meeting of the Governing Board appointed Prof. Olatunji-Bello, Vice-Chancellor of LASU to represent the two Affiliate universities.
