General Manager of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA, Dr Babatunde Ajayi, has led a team from the Agency on a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University, LASU, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM.
The team met with the VC on Monday, 25th March 2024, at her office on the 6th Floor, Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building, main campus, Ojo, Lagos.
According to Dr Ajayi, the visit was aimed at seeking collaboration with Lagos State University on research, knowledge exchange in areas of mutual interest, and data-gathering for research-based solutions that can drive policy development for environmental protection and sustainability.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, in her response, appreciated the Agency for bringing such an opportunity to the university and expressed excitement at the potential collaboration between the two institutions.
Members on the LASEPA team included: Executive Assistant to Lagos State Governor on Environmental Protection, Mrs Tolulope Adebowale, Director, Laboratory Services, Mrs Olabisi Shonibare, Director, Research and Development, Mrs M. Abdulwarees-Solanke, Head, Partnerships, Grants Management and Innovation, Dr Olisa Bukonla, among others.
The Vice Chancellor was joined at the meeting by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olufunsho Omobitan, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Omotunde Boyo, Director, Directorate of Information and Communication Technology, Prof. Toyin Enikuomehin and the Director, Directorate of Special Interventions, Prof. Oseni Afisi.
The Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor/Deputy Registrar, Dr Lateef O. Salami, members of the Vice Chancellor’s Office and Centre for Information and Public Relations (CIPR) were equally in attendance.
