Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka has led a delegation of state officials to the eleventh edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, AMVCA, held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speaking at the event, Mrs. Benson-Awoyinka highlighted the state government’s commitment to supporting and promoting the creative industry, which she described as a vital contributor to Lagos’ economy.

She also noted that events like the AMVCA continue to position Lagos as a prime destination for entertainment and cultural experiences.

The Commissioner underscored the government’s ongoing partnership with the creative industry and its commitment to nurturing talent and promoting cultural heritage in the state.

Also present at the event were the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Olanrewaju Bajulaiye.

The AMVCA, which recognizes outstanding achievements in African film and television, also saw numerous celebrities, filmmakers and industry stakeholders in attendance.
