Majority Leader of Lagos Mainland Local Government and Councillor representing Ward H, Hon. Oluwaseyi Adelakun, has donated educational materials, including stationery, to public primary schools within her constituency to support learning and improve access to basic academic resources.
The initiative aligns with the Education and Technology pillar of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration, which seeks to enhance the quality of education across Lagos State.
Speaking during the presentation on Monday, Hon. Adelakun said the programme was designed to complement the State Government’s efforts in strengthening the education sector.
She emphasized that the gesture would ease the financial burden on parents and allow pupils to focus more on their studies.
“As a youth, I am passionate about supporting pupils to excel in their academic pursuits. I will continue to reward excellence among the younger generation and support their career development,” she said, highlighting her School Initiative Programme as a flagship project.
Hon. Adelakun also praised teachers across her constituency and the State for their dedication in nurturing students and shaping them into responsible citizens.
She acknowledged Governor Sanwo-Olu’s investments in transforming education and promoting youth development.
The donated materials were distributed to schools including African Church Primary School (Lagos Street), Salvation Army Primary School (Freeman), The Apostolic Primary School, St. Jude’s Primary School, Ago-Egba Primary School, Mount Carmel Primary School, Catholic Girls Primary School, and Ebute Metta Primary School.
