JMG Limited says sustained investment in infrastructure, reliable energy systems and technical capacity will be critical to Nigeria’s ability to translate its economic potential into sustained growth.
The engineering company made the assessment as Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, stressing that the reliability and efficiency of infrastructure supporting businesses, industries and communities would have a direct bearing on productivity, job creation and quality of life.
JMG Limited’s Chief Commercial Officer, Rabi Jammal, said Nigeria’s next phase of development would require greater attention to the infrastructure and technical systems underpinning economic activity.
“Independence gives us the freedom to determine the kind of country we want to build. That freedom also comes with the responsibility to invest in the infrastructure, skills and technologies that can transform Nigeria’s potential into lasting progress,” Jammal said.
He identified reliable power and supporting infrastructure as fundamental to industrial productivity and business growth, noting that rising demand for dependable and efficient energy also presents an opportunity to accelerate the adoption of technologies that can strengthen energy security, improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Jammal said JMG’s work in Nigeria had evolved alongside the country’s infrastructure requirements, with the company providing engineering solutions across power generation, electrical infrastructure, vertical transportation, cooling systems, compressed air technologies and renewable energy.
“For nearly three decades, JMG has remained committed to providing practical engineering solutions that support businesses and institutions across Nigeria,” he said.
He added that the company would continue to support the development of infrastructure, technical capacity and energy systems needed to improve productivity and promote a more sustainable economy.
JMG also called for sustained collaboration among government, businesses, professionals and citizens in developing, maintaining and protecting the infrastructure systems that support economic activity.
The company said its engineering expertise and technology solutions would remain focused on helping businesses and institutions respond to evolving operational and energy needs as Nigeria pursues further economic development.
