JMG Delivers 9MW Critical Power Infrastructure to African Medical Centre of Excellence, Abuja

JMG Limited, a leading provider of integrated electro-mechanical solutions in Nigeria, has successfully completed the deployment of a state-of-the-art power infrastructure for the African Medical Centre of Excellence, AMCE in Abuja, a landmark healthcare project set to redefine medical care across West Africa.

As part of the project, JMG designed and installed a robust energy solution tailored to the needs of the world-class medical centre. The system includes six Mitsubishi 1800kVA diesel generators (Model S16R-PTA2), delivering a total output of 10.8MVA, in addition to Legrand UPS systems totaling 1,400kVA for essential power backup.

The deployment also features 4000A Synchronization and Main LV Panels, Sub-Main Panels, Capacitor Banks, and comprehensive internal and external electrical wiring.

According to Mahmoud Hamadi, General Manager of JMG’s Electrical & Projects Division, the solution was engineered to meet the high-performance standards of modern healthcare delivery.

“Critical power is never an afterthought—especially in healthcare, where experience, precision, and flawless execution are non-negotiable,” Hamadi stated. “From the Mitsubishi generators to UPS to every power outlet, this system is built for excellence.”

As the official dealer of Mitsubishi diesel and gas generators in Nigeria, JMG supplied and installed six units for this flagship project. Mitsubishi generators are globally renowned for their ruggedness, fuel efficiency, and reliability in mission-critical environments, ensuring uninterrupted power supply even under the most demanding conditions.

JMG’s turnkey execution ensured that AMCE’s power system is fully automated, redundant, and highly dependable—equipping the facility to operate around the clock from the moment it opens its doors.

The infrastructure supports the continuous operation of life-saving equipment and critical care units, making it a vital backbone of the medical centre’s daily operations.

This milestone further strengthens JMG’s reputation as a trusted partner for infrastructure projects in Nigeria’s essential sectors, particularly in healthcare, where consistent power is non-negotiable and downtime is not an option.
