Lagos State Police Command has recorded a major milestone with the foundation laying of the IGP Adeolu Olukayode Egbetokun Conference Centre at the Command Headquarters, Ikeja.
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Olukayode Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, personally performed the foundation-laying ceremony for the edifice, which is named in his honour.
The project stands as a testament to his visionary leadership and steadfast commitment to the modernization and professionalization of the Nigeria Police Force.
Designed as a world-class multipurpose facility, the Conference Centre will serve as a strategic hub for high-level security deliberations, inter-agency coordination, policy engagements, press conferences, and capacity-building programmes.
It aligns with the IGP’s vision to strengthen institutional frameworks and equip police formations nationwide with facilities that meet global policing standards.
In his remarks, IGP Egbetokun commended the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, for his exemplary leadership, administrative excellence, and commitment to operational efficiency.
He urged other state commands to emulate the Lagos Command’s dedication to innovation, discipline, and infrastructural growth, noting that such initiatives are crucial to building a more responsive and technologically driven police force.
