FirstBank, Visa Launch Premium Visa Signature Card for Affluent Customers

First Bank of Nigeria Limited has partnered with Visa to launch the Visa Signature card, a premium offering targeted at Nigeria’s affluent customers, including top executives, business owners, and frequent international travellers.

The new card, unveiled in Lagos on Friday, is designed to provide high-net-worth customers with exclusive lifestyle benefits, global travel privileges, and curated merchant offers through Visa’s worldwide payment network.

According to the bank, the Visa Signature card supports both domestic and international transactions, while granting cardholders access to preferential rates, premium experiences, and priority services across partner hotels, airlines, merchants, and destinations globally.

Speaking on the launch, Group Executive, eBusiness and Retail Products at FirstBank, Chuma Ezirim, said the product reflects the evolving expectations of premium customers seeking seamless global connectivity and exclusive financial experiences.

“At FirstBank, we are dedicated to creating financial solutions that reflect the evolving lifestyles of our customers. We understand that our premium customers aspire to experiences that reflect their global outlook,” Ezirim said.

He added that the Visa Signature card was designed to empower customers with access to premium experiences and lifestyle privileges while reinforcing the bank’s position as a preferred financial partner for Nigerians at home and abroad.

Also speaking, Vice President and Cluster Head, West Africa at Visa, Andrew Uaboi, described Nigeria’s affluent consumers as some of the most globally connected spenders on the continent.

“Visa Signature is designed to serve that profile with the depth of benefits and the breadth of acceptance they deserve. We are delighted to work with FirstBank in making this available to the Nigerian market,” he said.

The launch forms part of FirstBank’s broader strategy to strengthen its premium banking offerings.

The bank noted that its existing Visa portfolio already includes Visa Infinite, Visa Gold, Naira Credit, and Visa Prepaid cards serving millions of customers across retail, online, and cross-border payment channels.

With the addition of Visa Signature, the bank said affluent customers now have access to a dedicated premium tier tailored to their spending and lifestyle needs.

The Visa Signature card is available to eligible FirstBank customers through branches nationwide and dedicated relationship managers.
