FirstBank Opens Applications for 2026 Pan-African Graduate Trainee Programme

FirstBank has commenced applications for its 2026 Pan-African Graduate Trainee Programme, offering young graduates across Africa an opportunity to build careers in banking and financial services while preparing for future leadership roles.

The programme, which forms part of the bank’s talent development strategy, is designed to attract, develop and retain exceptional graduates who will contribute to the institution’s long-term growth and transformation agenda.

According to the bank, the initiative will provide participants with structured training, mentorship and practical work experience across various departments, equipping them with the skills and knowledge required to thrive in the banking industry.

The Pan-African Graduate Trainee Programme is aimed at building a future-ready workforce and strengthening FirstBank’s talent pipeline across its African operations.

The programme will be implemented across seven African countries, including Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Guinea, Senegal, Sierra Leone and The Gambia. Applicants are expected to apply to the country where they intend to work.
