Gone are the days when banking meant long queues, crowded banking halls and rushing to beat closing hours. With the rise of digital banking, customers can now perform transactions instantly from the comfort of their homes or offices using their smartphones.
One of such solutions is FirstMobile, the official mobile banking application of FirstBank, designed to give customers seamless access to banking services anytime and anywhere.
The app allows users to transfer funds, pay bills, monitor account activities, check balances and manage beneficiaries securely without visiting a physical branch.
According to the bank, the app is equipped with multiple security layers including PIN authentication, One-Time Passwords (OTP), and biometric features to ensure safe and protected transactions.
To get started, customers are required to download the FirstMobile app from either the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and proceed with profile registration directly on the application.
After installing the app, users are to click on “Get Started” and select “Register Profile.” Customers can register using either their FirstBank debit card or Bank Verification Number (BVN).
Users will then be prompted to input their ATM card details or BVN, after which a One-Time Password will be sent via SMS for identity verification.
Once verified, customers are required to create a five-digit mobile PIN for login purposes, answer two secret questions and set up a four-digit transaction PIN for authorising transactions on the app.
After completing the registration process, customers can immediately begin using the app for transfers, bill payments and other banking services.
The bank noted that mobile banking has become increasingly important due to its convenience, efficiency and ability to provide customers with real-time updates on account activities.
With digital banking solutions such as FirstMobile, customers can now enjoy faster and more flexible banking services while maintaining full control of their finances directly from their mobile devices.
