Fidelity Bank Offers Two Minute Digital Route for Dangote Refinery IPO

Investors can subscribe to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery IPO through Fidelity Bank’s digital channels in less than two minutes, with options also available to non customers in Nigeria and abroad.

The bank said the subscription channels were designed to accommodate retail investors, corporate organisations and non customers, including the Fidelity Bank iOS and Android mobile applications, corporate banking platform and designated branches nationwide.

A key feature of the subscription arrangement is the provision of Virtual Accounts for investors who do not maintain accounts with Fidelity Bank.

Through the option, non customers in Nigeria and abroad can initiate their subscriptions through the Fidelity Bank website, receive dedicated Virtual Account details and fund their applications from an operational bank account.

The bank said the Virtual Account option allows prospective investors to participate without opening a regular Fidelity Bank account and also supports third party funded subscriptions.

Existing retail customers can subscribe through the Fidelity Bank Mobile App, while corporate customers can use the bank’s corporate online banking platform, subject to the applicable inputter and authoriser process.

For additional support, investors can visit Fidelity Bank branches or contact Fidelity TrueServe on 070034335489, WhatsApp 09030005252 or trueserve@fidelitybank.ng.

The bank said investors would be required to provide relevant identification and account information, which may include a Bank Verification Number for non Fidelity Bank account holders, a National Identification Number for minors and an active operational account or online banking profile for Fidelity Bank customers.

Investors without a Central Securities Clearing System account can also participate in the IPO, with Fidelity Securities Limited providing a stockbroking account option to facilitate the electronic crediting of allotted shares after the allotment process.

Following successful authorisation of a subscription, the investor’s selected account will be debited or the assigned Virtual Account funded, as applicable. The investor will then receive a confirmation message, transaction reference and receipt as evidence of the application.

Fidelity Bank said the initiative was aimed at expanding access to Nigeria’s capital market through simple, inclusive and technology driven subscription options.

The bank advised prospective investors to review the approved Offer Prospectus before making investment decisions, noting that it contains the applicable eligibility conditions, price, minimum subscription requirement, permissible multiples, offer period and other terms governing the IPO.
