Access to finance, digital payments and business support for beauty entrepreneurs featured at the Beauty in the Motherland 2026 awards dinner, where Fidelity Bank Plc received recognition for its contribution to the Nigerian beauty industry.
The ceremony, held on October 6 at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, was part of the three-day programme that attracted more than 3,000 attendees and over 300 exhibitors across skincare, haircare, fragrance, cosmetics and wellness.
Fidelity Bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, received a special recognition award for her leadership and the bank’s contribution to the beauty enterprise ecosystem.
Onyeali-Ikpe said the bank’s sponsorship of the programme for a third consecutive year reflected its confidence in the industry and the entrepreneurs driving its growth.
She said Fidelity Bank would continue to support beauty businesses with relevant knowledge, access to finance, market opportunities and tools to build sustainable enterprises.
Beyond sponsoring the dinner and exhibition, the bank provided account opening, payment and advisory services to participating businesses. It also served as the event’s exclusive point-of-sale provider, facilitating vendor collections and promoting digital payment adoption.
The bank showcased its POS Instant Settlement, PayGate Plus and SME accounts, while engaging exhibitors on financial management, business growth and banking services.
The dinner, hosted by Nancy Isime and Enioluwa Adeoluwa, brought together entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders and creatives. Nigerian music star Yemi Alade performed at the ceremony.
Beauty in the Motherland 2026 featured exhibitions, product showcases, competitions and networking opportunities aimed at helping beauty entrepreneurs connect with customers, distributors, partners and investors.
The organisers, Beatrice Obinna Eneh and Linda Edozien, said the initiative was established to advance the African beauty industry by empowering entrepreneurs and improving access to markets.
