The Enterprise Growth & Opportunities, EGO, Foundation has successfully concluded its SheEnabled project in Bauchi State, empowering over 2,112 women with essential financial literacy skills.
This impactful initiative, conducted in collaboration with Access Bank, aims to equip women with the knowledge and tools necessary to manage their finances effectively and grow their businesses.
The SheEnabled project in Bauchi focused on market women, with training sessions held in Wunti Market and Muda Lawal Market.
Participants were introduced to fundamental bookkeeping concepts and best practices, which are critical for sustaining and expanding their enterprises.
One of the project’s key highlights was the distribution of locally translated pamphlets titled “Bookkeeping Made Easy.” These practical resources provided women with step-by-step guidance on tracking sales, inventory, and expenses, empowering them to make informed financial decisions.
In addition to the financial literacy training, EGO Foundation also offered business grant opportunities.
Participants had the chance to pitch their business ideas, with selected proposals receiving funding to support and expand their ventures.
