Dangote: FG’s Economic Reforms Restoring Investor Confidence, Driving Recovery

President and Chief Executive of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, says the Federal Government’s ongoing economic reforms are beginning to strengthen investor confidence, improve industrial productivity and support Nigeria’s economic recovery.

Dangote said the fiscal, monetary and regulatory measures were contributing to greater macroeconomic stability and creating a more predictable environment for businesses and investors.

“The economic reforms being implemented by the Federal Government are beginning to yield tangible results. We are witnessing improved economic activity, stronger investor confidence, increased industrial productivity, and a more resilient business environment,” he said.

He said the reforms were particularly important for large-scale manufacturing and industrial businesses, which he described as critical to economic diversification, employment generation, foreign exchange earnings and Nigeria’s competitiveness.

According to him, measures aimed at improving efficiency, promoting investment, strengthening transparency and supporting domestic production are creating conditions for industrial expansion.

“We commend the Federal Government for its courage and determination in implementing reforms that are essential for economic transformation. While every reform process comes with initial challenges, the benefits are increasingly evident in stronger economic indicators, improved business confidence, and renewed investor interest in Nigeria,” Dangote said.

He also linked the operating environment created by the government’s policies to the continued growth of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals complex, which he described as Africa’s largest integrated refining and petrochemical facility.

Dangote said policies supporting local refining, reducing dependence on imports, improving energy security and promoting value addition had contributed to the refinery’s development and aligned with Nigeria’s broader industrialisation objectives.

“The progress being recorded at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals complex is closely linked to a policy environment that encourages investment, supports domestic industrialisation, and promotes self-sufficiency,” he said.

He added that the refinery’s rising production capacity and expanding export activities were contributing to the economy through foreign exchange earnings, job creation, stronger local supply chains and increased capacity for domestic energy production.

Dangote said Dangote Industries Limited would continue to invest in strategic sectors and support the government’s economic agenda through industrial development, innovation and employment creation.

“Our vision has always been to support Nigeria’s economic development through transformative investments. Today, we are witnessing how the combination of private-sector commitment and decisive government policies can unlock unprecedented opportunities for national growth,” he said.

He expressed confidence that sustained reforms, policy consistency and stronger public-private collaboration would attract more foreign direct investment and further strengthen Nigeria’s position as an investment destination.

“Nigeria is on the path to becoming one of the world’s leading industrial and economic powers. With continued policy consistency, robust private-sector participation, and investment-led growth, the future of our economy is exceptionally bright,” Dangote said.
