The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, Bode Ojajuni, has reaffirmed the importance of inter-agency collaboration following a series of strategic familiarisation visits to key security formations across the state.
The visits, which took place on April 21, 2026, saw the CP engage with the Nigerian Army, Department of State Services, Nigeria Immigration Service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, as part of efforts to deepen operational synergy and enhance coordinated responses to evolving security challenges.
At the 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala Barracks, Abeokuta, Ojajuni was received by Brigade Commander, Godwin U. Nwamba. Both leaders reviewed existing joint operational frameworks and discussed improved coordination in intelligence-driven deployments, rapid response strategies, and synchronized patrols across identified flashpoints.
During a separate visit to the DSS Ogun State Command, the CP held discussions with State Director, R. A. Adelakun, focusing on strengthening intelligence gathering, surveillance, and timely sharing of actionable information to prevent security breaches.
At the Nigeria Immigration Service command, Comptroller Olufunke Yetunde Odusote hosted the police delegation, with talks centred on border security, migration control, and strategies to curb illegal migration, human trafficking, and cross-border crimes.
Similarly, at the NSCDC Ogun State Command, Commandant Remilekun Omolade Ekundayo received the CP, where discussions focused on the protection of critical national infrastructure, joint enforcement against vandalism, and improved crisis response coordination.
Ojajuni expressed appreciation to the leadership of the various agencies for their continued cooperation, describing inter-agency synergy as a critical pillar for effective policing.
He reiterated the commitment of the Ogun State Police Command to strengthening collaboration, enhancing intelligence sharing, and sustaining joint efforts to ensure the safety of lives and property across the state.
