The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, has commended the Police Officers’ Wives Association, POWA, Ogun State Chapter, for its contributions to the welfare and emotional well-being of police officers and their families.
CP Ojajuni gave the commendation while receiving members of the association, led by its Acting Chairperson, Mrs. Bolanle Adeoye, on a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.
Speaking during the visit, Mrs. Adeoye praised the Commissioner for his leadership, professionalism, and commitment to the welfare of officers and their families. She said POWA remained dedicated to strengthening family support systems, fostering unity among police families, and complementing the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force in promoting the well-being of personnel.
She also appreciated the Commissioner for creating an enabling environment that supports discipline, stability, and effective policing operations across the state.
Mrs. Adeoye assured the Command of the association’s continued collaboration in advancing welfare-focused initiatives aimed at improving the lives of officers and their families.
Responding, CP Ojajuni expressed appreciation to the association for its unwavering support and vital role in sustaining the morale of police personnel.
He described POWA as a key pillar in promoting the emotional and social stability of officers, especially those engaged in demanding operational responsibilities.
The Commissioner also lauded the association for its contributions to community development and welfare support, noting that such efforts complement the Command’s drive to build a resilient, motivated, and productive workforce.
He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with POWA and encouraged the association to sustain programmes that promote family unity, empowerment, and welfare enhancement within the police community.
CP Ojajuni further assured members of the association that officers’ welfare would remain a priority for the Command, adding that stakeholder engagement and internal cohesion were essential to improving operational effectiveness across Ogun State.
Members of the Command’s management team also commended POWA for its continued support and urged the association to maintain its efforts in promoting family stability, welfare advancement, and positive values among police families.
