CHAIRPERSON OF POWA IN OGUN STATE PROMOTES TEN THOUSAND DAILY STEPS FOR HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

…… Highlights Seven Point Agenda for POWA members in Ogun State.

Chairperson of the Police Wives Association, POWA in Ogun State, Rev Mrs Olubusola Lanre Ogunlowo has led wives of Police officers on a ten thousand step walk/fitness dance and sweat exercise to kick off her 2025 maiden sensitization of the importance of healthy living.

This is also part of efforts to ensure the deliberate incorporation of a daily walking lifestyle so people can live longer.

This is after the POWA Chairperson had led a delegation of Police wives in the state, to the Ogun State Police Command to pay a well-deserved courtesy visit to her husband, welcoming him into the State. She prayed that the tenure of her husband and that of other Police officers would be successful.

During the courtesy visit, Rev Mrs. Ogunlowo enumerated her seven-point vision that she will be bringing to the frontier to assist Police wives to remain at their best emotionally and mentally.

Part of her agenda is to promote the importance of healthy living, protection of the rights of women and children against negative vices and violence, the welfare of the aged and how best to manage them in old age, recycling programmes where she will teach Police wives on how to engage in the recycling business as a sustainable means of income.

Others are prioritizing the education of the Police officers’ children and adequately supporting them to whatever level of education. She also aims to achieve even much more with the support of her husband in the empowerment programme.

Additionally, she appreciated the National President of the Police Wives Association, Mrs Elizabeth Egbetokun for her resilience and her numerous achievements through the partnership of her husband, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun PhD NPM for his visionary leadership in bringing quality impact to police officers which the beam light can be seen on the families.
