BREAKING: WAEC Releases 2024 WASSCE Results

The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has released the results for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE, for School Candidates, 2024.

Head of WAEC, National Office Nigeria, Amos Dangut announced the results while briefing news men at the National Office of WAEC, Yaba Lagos.

Dangut explained that a total number of One Million, Eight Hundred and Five Thousand, Two Hundred and Sixteen candidates for the examination which spanned a period of seven weeks and six days from April thirty and June twenty-four, 2024.

He said out of the total number of candidates that sat the examination in Nigeria, One Million, Six Hundred and Eighty-Five Thousand, Eight Hundred and Eighty-Nine candidates, representing ninety three point three-nine percent have their results fully processed and released while One Hundred and Nineteen Thousand, Three Hundred and Twenty-Seven candidates, representing six point six one percent have one or more of their subjects still being processed due to some issues being resolved.

According to the Head of National Office, the analysis of statistics of candidates performance in the examination shows that One Million, Three Hundred and Thirty-Two Thousand and Eighty-Nine candidates, representing seventy-three point seven nine percent, obtained credit and above in a minimum of any five subjects.

Dagnut added that One Million, Three Hundred and One Thousand, Nine Hundred and Forty-One candidates, representing seventy-two point one, two percent obtained credits and above in a minimum of five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
