The Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, Ayodele Ogunsan, has commended the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Agency, LNSA for its operational efficiency and adoption of a community-driven policing model.
Ogunsan gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to the agency’s headquarters, where he was received by the General Manager, Ifalade Oyekan, alongside top officials.
The visit, described as high-profile, featured a ceremonial guard of honour for the LSSTF boss, who was also decorated with the LNSA Medal of Honour and presented with a commemorative lapel pin in recognition of his contributions to strengthening Lagos’ security framework.
During an inspection tour of the agency’s facilities, Ogunsan examined a range of modern security assets, including surveillance drones and body-worn cameras deployed to enhance intelligence gathering and rapid response operations.
Speaking after the tour, he praised the agency’s grassroots-oriented policing structure, noting that its strength lies in officers who operate within their communities.
“The strength of the LNSA lies in its people-oriented approach. Having officers who live and serve within their communities builds trust, enhances intelligence gathering, and ultimately strengthens public safety,” he said.
Ogunsan reaffirmed the commitment of the LSSTF to continue supporting the agency and other security outfits across the state, stressing that effective security remains vital for economic growth, social stability, and investor confidence.
In his remarks, Oyekan expressed appreciation for the sustained support from the LSSTF, describing it as critical to the agency’s achievements.
He reiterated that the neighbourhood-based policing model, anchored on local knowledge and collaboration, remains central to proactive crime prevention and effective security delivery.
