Dr. Austin Orette Congratulates New Delta APC Chairman, Declares 2027 Senate Interest

Dr. Austin Orette has congratulated Chief Solomon Arenyeka on his election as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Delta State Chapter.

This comes after the APC in Delta State has elected Chief Arenyeka as its new state chairman following a consensus decision at the party’s state congress held on Tuesday at the Cenotaph in Asaba.

The congress produced Moses Iduh as Deputy Chairman and Efe Uko as State Secretary.

Dr. Orette, a Texas-based physician with over 40 years of medical experience, described the emergence of the new party chairman as a positive step for political organisation and leadership development in Delta State.

He said the election of Chief Arenyeka reflects the growing need for inclusive and development-focused leadership within the state’s political structure.

Dr. Orette also officially declared his intention to contest the 2027 National Assembly election for the Delta South Senatorial District.

He said his political ambition is driven by the need to reposition governance as a “contest of ideas” capable of delivering sustainable development and improved public welfare.

The physician-turned-politician stated that his campaign will focus on policy-driven governance, socio-economic development, and strengthening opportunities for citizens within the senatorial district.

Dr. Orette expressed optimism that leadership anchored on innovative thinking and strategic planning would help address developmental challenges and promote sustainable growth in the region.
