The Lagos State Police Command and the Nigeria Customs Service have pledged to strengthen cooperation against smuggling and other criminal activities across the state.
The commitment followed a courtesy visit by the Acting Comptroller of the Customs Federal Operations Unit, Zone A, Ikeja, Deputy Comptroller Oladapo Olukayode Afeni, to the Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, at the Command Headquarters in Ikeja.
The visit provided an opportunity for both agencies to explore ways to improve information sharing and coordinate security operations in tackling crime and enforcing the law.
Both agencies reaffirmed the importance of inter-agency collaboration in addressing security challenges and promoting effective law enforcement across Lagos State.
