The West African Examinations Council, WAEC has officially rolled out its Digital Certificate Services System, also known as WAEC DigiCert, across all its member countries including The Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone.
WAEC DigiCert is a mobile and web-based platform designed to simplify access to examination certificates.
Users can request, confirm, or share digital versions of their original certificates and recover lost WAEC examination numbers through the system.
The platform guarantees the authenticity of certificates and offers significant cost and time savings. Following a successful pilot in Nigeria, the system received positive feedback from candidates and educational institutions.
WAEC advised the general public and stakeholders to use DigiCert to avoid administrative delays associated with manual certificate issuance, while assuring that the traditional printing and issuance of certificates will continue.
