President Tinubu Commends Governor Soludo’s Proactive Efforts on Insecurity in Anambra

President Bola Tinubu has commended Governor Charles Soludo, for his proactive efforts at tackling insecurity in Anambra State.

The President gave the commendation in Awka, Anambra State, during his first official visit to the State on Thursday, May 8, 2025.

“I must acknowledge Governor Soludo’s proactive efforts towards tackling insecurity in Anambra”, President Bola Tinubu stated at Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka.

The President also assured the Governor of his readiness to collaborate with the State and Ndi-Anambra towards achieving a more secure and prosperous State and nation. “Together, we will defeat them, we will defeat insurgency and achieve a peaceful and prosperous nation”, Mr. President added.

Governor Soludo’s calculated strategy, focusing on long-term solutions and empowering security forces has yielded undeniable results, drastically reducing insecurity in the State.

The recent launch of “Operation Udo Ga-Achi” (Peace Must Reign) and the bolstering of the “Agunechemba” vigilante force was all a carefully planned initiative designed to dismantle criminal networks at the roots in the region.

The Governor’s effort at tackling insecurity has received much commendation from both public and private sector stakeholders with various groups calling for an adoption of Governor Soludo’s security model for the entire South-East and Nigeria.

The President’s State Visit also witnessed the commissioning of some of the landmark projects by the Soludo administration, like a world-class eco-friendly, tech driven mini-city within a city; a new government house over which a 34 year old jinx has been broken; and the solution fun-city, a one-stop destination for leisure and entertainment like no other, combining a world class country club, family fun-house, water park and amusement park, all in one location.

On insecurity, the Soludo administration has yet again reiterated its commitment to proactively disrupting criminal operations, dismantling their infrastructure, and restoring a sense of security and hope to the State, as Anambra is witnessing a turning of the tide, with hope replacing despair.
