Stakeholders in Agege are set to examine community security, sustainable security financing and stronger collaboration between government, businesses and residents at the Agege Security Summit scheduled for October 8, 2026.
The summit, hosted by the Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government, Hon. Vinod Obasa, will focus on the role of public private partnerships in strengthening community security and supporting sustainable development.
Executive Secretary/CEO of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, is expected to speak on “Public Private Partnership in Community Security” at the event, which will hold at the Agege Local Government Hall from 10 a.m.
His presentation is expected to address how government, communities, businesses and other stakeholders can collaborate and invest in security through partnerships, including support for prevention, intelligence sharing, logistics, public awareness and rapid response.
The summit will bring together government representatives, security professionals, community leaders, businesses and residents to discuss community safety and security.
Other speakers include the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa; former Orile-Agege LCDA Chairman, Hon. J.S. Babatunde; Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Fatai Tijani; ACP Saheed Egbeyemi; real estate investor, Abdullahi Saheed Mosadoluwa; the Convener, Abdullahi Anikulapo; and the Chief Host, Hon. Vinod Obasa.
According to the organisers, Ogunsan’s experience in security financing, inter-agency collaboration and strategic investment in public safety will contribute to discussions on developing sustainable approaches to community security.
The summit is expected to provide a platform for stakeholders to examine practical ways of strengthening community participation and public private collaboration in addressing security challenges in Agege.
