Nigeria–China Strategic Partnership Marks Shared October 1st Milestones

The Nigeria–China Strategic Partnership, NCSP has extended warm felicitations to both Nigeria and the People’s Republic of China as the two nations mark their national days on October 1.

While Nigeria celebrates 65 years of independence, China commemorates its 76th year of nationhood.

In a statement, NCSP Director General, Mr. Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe, described the coincidence of the celebrations as a testament to the resilience and shared aspirations of both nations.

“As Nigeria celebrates 65 years of independence and the People’s Republic of China marks 76 years of national pride on the same historic date, NCSP stands firmly at the center of deepening the bond between our nations. Together, we are building pathways for shared prosperity across generations,” Tegbe said.

Since its inception, the NCSP has been instrumental in fostering stronger bilateral ties, facilitating strategic engagements with senior Chinese government officials and top business executives. The partnership has also paved the way for multi-billion-dollar investments in key sectors such as agriculture, automotive manufacturing, mining, steel production, energy, and digital transformation.

As both countries celebrate their milestones, the NCSP reaffirmed its commitment to advancing cooperation and ensuring that the Nigeria–China relationship continues to deliver sustainable economic growth, innovation, and mutual progress.
